Stone Shelter – OO Gauge

Description

The Model Railway 3D OO Gauge Stone Shelter is a classic lineside building, based on the small stone shelters that stood beside tracks across the British railway network. With its dressed stone walls, pitched roof and open doorway, it is a versatile structure that suits stations, sidings and rural settings alike.

Prototype
Stone shelters served a range of trackside purposes, from housing signals and ground frames to giving shelter to waiting passengers and railway staff. Examples can still be seen on preserved and heritage lines today, and the simple, timeless form works with almost any era from pre-grouping through to the present day.
